Instrumentation & Controls Designer - Data Center - Remote

Overview

As an I&C Designer at Olsson, you will support the development of high-quality engineering solutions for data center projects, ensuring designs meet project requirements and safety standards.

In Short

• Prepare instrumentation engineering/design deliverables.
• Develop control systems (DCS/PLC) data sheets and design documents.
• Coordinate with third-party control system vendors.
• Develop and review P&IDs for various projects.
• Select and size I&C components.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Review vendor documentation and provide technical recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls design.
• Proficiency in engineering design software including REVIT.
• Strong understanding of control systems and instrumentation technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A proactive mindset focused on delivering solutions.
