Staff Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Cloud Network Engineer will work along the Cloud Network Engineering team, working with Cloud Network and Software engineers, among other cross-functional roles. Working on different projects, with end-to-end accountability for the cloud network lifecycle connectivity infrastructure of Nubank’s complex topology.

In Short

• Design, build, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot complex networking infrastructures.
• Consider network security aspects in PCI CSS experience.
• Execute high-level and low-level design for cloud network environments.
• Support Cloud Network topology and troubleshoot incidents promptly.
• Provide reliable and stable infrastructure via best practices.
• Document work to gather buy-in from cross-teams.
• Experience with OS and/or development for infrastructure.
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and vendors on new product offerings.
• Communicate effectively across time zones/language boundaries.

Requirements

• CCIE or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Ability to take ownership of critical initiatives.
• Proven ability to collaborate on a team.
• Ability to navigate in ambiguous environments.
• Willingness to learn software development at a basic level.
• Effective monitoring and delivery of solutions services.
• Ability to document work effectively.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripts.
