Visual Basic (VB) Developer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a skilled VB.NET Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of high-performance applications.

In Short

• Develop, maintain, and enhance VB.NET applications, including Windows Forms and WCF services.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL Server stored procedures and queries.
• Implement and maintain ETL solutions using SSIS for efficient data integration.
• Perform data aggregation, transformation, and migration across multiple platforms.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
• Develop and maintain data replication and integration processes.
• Utilize best practices for data modeling and database design.
• Write and maintain scripts for automation and process improvements.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Strong experience in VB.NET development, including Windows Forms/EXE development and WCF Services.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server development, including relational modeling, complex stored procedures, and performance monitoring/analysis.
• Expertise in complex SQL operations, including joins, data aggregation, grouping, and transformation.
• Strong knowledge of transactions, temporary table utilization, and T-SQL.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL processes.
• Experience with data replication services and QLIK (preferred).
• Familiarity with data transfer from SQL Server to other database platforms (DB2 experience is a plus).
• Experience in data modeling, normalization, and denormalization.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud technologies is a plus.
