Day Camp Leader - Remote

Overview

The Day Camp Leader will assist in the operation of a day camp program for children, providing support, encouragement, and supervision while ensuring a safe and engaging environment.

• Assist in creating and implementing a 4-week day camp program for children aged 6-11.
• Lead various activities including music, sports, games, and crafts.
• Supervise and support Day Camp Counsellors.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of campers.
• Document processes and report on camp activities.
• Maintain a tidy and safe camp environment.
• Act in emergencies according to camp policies.
• Engage with children using empathy and active listening.
• Participate in staff training and meetings.

Requirements

• Minimum grade eleven education.
• Current valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a day camp setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
