Multiplatform Editor - Remote

Overview

The NBC Local division is responsible for creating valuable and engaging content across multiple platforms for local audiences. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative multiplatform editor who speaks and writes in both English and Spanish fluently.

In Short

• Write, edit, publish, and curate digital content of national interest.
• Work during overnight shifts.
• Collaborate with digital teams at local stations.
• Contribute original content daily for our markets’ websites.
• Curate national content from various sources.
• Assist local editors covering major breaking news stories.
• Participate in broader strategic discussions.
• Communicate effectively in remote environments.
• Complete a bilingual writing test as part of the application process.
• Work under tight deadlines with speed and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, political science, English, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Experience as an editor, writer, or producer at a major news organization.
• Ability to write on deadline using AP Style.
• Experience with online publishing tools or content management systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to communicate with editors at different levels.
• Willingness to follow specific systems and workflows.
• Multimedia experience and familiarity with analytics are desirable.
