Overview

DreamWorks Animation is looking for a Character Designer who can demonstrate strong conceptual ideas and visual creativity to form original characters for animated films.

In Short

• Designs and develops original characters for animated films.
• Generates diverse ideas for character shapes, styles, and types.
• Creates detailed character development pages with expressions and poses.
• Designs costumes and provides color styling for characters.
• Collaborates with Modelers to transition 2D designs into 3D models.
• Communicates progress and meets production deadlines.

Requirements

• Ability to independently think and design from concept to finish.
• Strong understanding of design principles and styles.
• Solid grasp of 3D form and character design.
• Strong time management skills.
• Proficiency in Photoshop; knowledge of Maya and/or ZBrush is a plus.
