Senior Network Engineer - Corporate Enterprise Network (WAN) - Remote

Overview

Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a senior-level Network Engineer for a potential opportunity to work under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.

In Short

• Develops required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
• Works with a government-owned network and underground cable with a corporate CISCO LAN plant.
• Coordinates with Vendor PM, COTRs, and user representatives for accurate solutions.
• Requires five years of progressive IT experience.
• Expertise with 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN and related software and hardware.
• Requires IT-I Security Clearance.
• Must have IAT II certification.
• Must be CISCO Certified Network Associate.
• Experience with CISSP is a plus.
• Position is remote but requires availability for meetings in Columbus, OH and Fort Belvoir, VA.

Requirements

• Five years of IT experience with at least two relevant projects.
• Expert experience with COTS 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN.
• Must hold SECRET clearance.
• 8570.01-M Baseline Certification required.
• CISCO Certified Network Associate required.
• CISSP preferred.
• Three years of hands-on experience supporting DoD IT solutions.
