Freelance Medical Interpreter - Remote

Overview

Ascensus Global, Inc. is seeking experienced freelance interpreters to provide high-quality interpretation services to support patient-provider communication at U.S. military health facilities.

In Short

• Provide accurate and idiomatic interpretation between healthcare professionals and LEP patients.
• Perform on-site, telephonic, and video remote interpretation.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality standards.
• Respond to scheduled and urgent requests for interpretation services.
• Document service details accurately.
• Participate in onboarding and training requirements.
• Must hold relevant certifications for interpreters.
• Proficiency in English and at least one supported foreign language required.
• Work independently in high-stress environments.
• Pay range: $30 - $55 an hour.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization.
• Minimum 2 years of professional interpreting experience in healthcare.
• Certification from recognized organizations for interpreters.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and patient privacy laws.
