Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI research lab on a project to advance frontier physics problem-solving. We are seeking physics experts with International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) experience to create challenging physics problems for AI training.

In Short

• Write original & advanced IPhO-style physics problems.
• Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness and clarity.
• Identify logical flaws and incomplete reasoning in AI responses.
• Provide clear solutions using proper LaTeX formatting.
• Maintain high standards of precision and problem difficulty.
• Expected commitment: 20 hours/week minimum.
• Project length: ~2 months with extension potential.
• Independent contractor engagement.
• Payments issued weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Open to contributors worldwide.

Requirements

• Olympiad medalist or equivalent in IPhO or similar competitions.
• Graduate researcher or educator in sciences.
• Deep understanding of core theoretical and experimental concepts.
• Ability to articulate reasoning clearly in writing.
• Strong evaluation skills for physics problem rigor and complexity.
• Highly proficient in LaTeX.
