Overview

Mercor is seeking PhD holders, doctoral candidates, and exceptional Master’s graduates in chemistry and related fields to join a high-impact AI research initiative in collaboration with a leading artificial intelligence lab.

In Short

• Evaluate the scientific accuracy of LLM-generated content across chemical disciplines.
• Review outputs on molecular structure, kinetics, thermodynamics, and more.
• Identify factual inaccuracies and reasoning gaps.
• Provide structured feedback using specialized evaluation tools.
• Work independently as part of a distributed research team.
• Part-time position (approximately 30 hours/week).

Requirements

• PhD (or PhD candidate) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Strong command of graduate-level chemistry concepts.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in Python for scientific analysis preferred.
