Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in our day-to-day General Ledger accounting processes and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), experienced in Business Central / Business Dynamics accounting software and proficient in excel.

In Short

• Work with the existing team to enhance the close and reporting processes.
• Perform monthly cash reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with variance analysis of financial statements.
• Prepare Monthly Excise tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Correspond with departments to compile financial data.
• Research and respond to general ledger inquiries.
• Assist with regulatory reporting.
• Manage and participate in ad hoc projects.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
• 3 years’ experience in accounting in a multi-company environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task under tight timelines.
• Self-starter who can take initiative.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
