Area Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of a cluster of hotels by maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and assisting with financial reporting.

In Short

• Responsible for bank reconciliation and ensuring accurate transaction records.
• Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
• Record monthly journal entries for prepaid expenses and accruals.
• Review daily revenue reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Post payroll-related journal entries accurately.
• Generate additional reporting and perform analysis as needed.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (HIA, Sage, QuickBooks).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Understanding of USALI and GAAP.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
