In Short

• Full-time acquisitions and development editor role.
• Manage the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary series and the Evangelical Biblical Theology Commentary series.
• Acquire and shepherd books through the editorial process.
• Solicit and evaluate proposals and manuscripts.
• Build and sustain author relationships.
• Negotiate author and agent contracts.
• Provide developmental guidance to authors.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on titles and marketing copy.

Requirements

• PhD (candidate) in Biblical Studies.
• Experience in acquisitions and development editorial work.
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary Christianity.
• Working knowledge of church history and theology.
• Proficient in Koine Greek and Biblical Hebrew.
• Working knowledge of German and French.
• Proven networking capabilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter who meets deadlines.
