Overview

An enterprise client is seeking qualified professionals with educational backgrounds in agriculture or related fields to support a project focused on crop type classification from satellite imagery. This role involves analyzing visual data and labeling agricultural fields to help build a high-quality dataset for improving crop classification models.

In Short

• Classify crop types from satellite images using ground truth references.
• Determine crop types or mark areas as uncultivated based on visual information.
• Follow clearly defined workflow protocols provided by the client.
• Identify agricultural area presence based on image analysis.
• Assess field visibility and annotate accordingly.
• Label crop types accurately based on visibility.
• Work approximately 20 hours per week as needed.
• Contract duration is approximately 6 weeks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Agriculture or related fields.
• Knowledge or experience in Geography, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or GIS.
• Familiarity with crop identification and agricultural surveys.
• Ability to distinguish crop types from images.
• Experience using image annotation tools is an advantage.
