Instructional Technologist - Remote

Overview

The Instructional Technologist plays a key role in supporting faculty in the use of the instructional technologies available at Lakeland University and providing technical support for the university's learning management program, Blackboard. The Instructional Technologist will assist in the implementation of the department's vision to aid the institution in providing quality instruction across all modalities through a systemic process of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, including assisting with design and training of faculty and staff.

• Assist with researching and implementing new instructional technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Experience in teaching or training in an academic environment.
• Customer service or technical administration experience in LMS support.
• Commitment to excellence in service.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into easy instructions.
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and applications.
• Project/program management experience.
• Familiarity with productivity software and web production skills.
