Staff Product Designer - Breakout - Remote

Overview

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll embed directly with a cross-functional pod of product managers, engineers, and designers focused on the Breakout experience. You’ll collaborate closely with Kraken’s Pro and Trading teams to ensure consistency across trading surfaces while modernising Breakout’s core product.

In Short

• Define scalable UX patterns for trading, accounts, KYC, and performance tracking
• Lead the redesign and modernisation of Breakout’s core web and mobile experiences
• Simplify complex financial and trading concepts into clear, fast, and legible interfaces
• Drive product strategy alongside Product and Engineering
• Establish design systems, standards, and best practices
• Partner closely with Marketing for cohesive user journeys
• Prototype and test quickly, balancing discovery with delivery
• Raise the craft bar through hands-on execution and mentorship

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience
• Experience designing complex, data-heavy, or technical products
• Strong product thinking and ability to balance user needs
• Experience leading large-scale redesigns
• Deep understanding of UX systems and interaction design
• Ability to design fast, high-signal interfaces
• Comfort working closely with engineers
• Experience creating and scaling design systems
• Strong prototyping skills
• Clear communicator who can influence stakeholders
