Staff Product Designer - Breakout - Remote

Overview

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll embed directly with a cross-functional pod of product managers, engineers, and designers focused on the Breakout experience at Kraken. You will lead the evolution and modernisation of Breakout’s end-to-end product experience.

In Short

• Define scalable UX patterns for trading, accounts, KYC, and performance tracking
• Lead the redesign and modernisation of Breakout’s core web and mobile experiences
• Simplify complex financial and trading concepts into clear, fast, and legible interfaces
• Drive product strategy alongside Product and Engineering
• Establish design systems, standards, and best practices
• Partner closely with Marketing for cohesive user journeys
• Prototype and test quickly
• Raise the craft bar through hands-on execution and mentorship

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience
• Proven experience designing complex, data-heavy, or technical products
• Strong product thinking balancing user needs and business goals
• Experience leading large-scale redesigns
• Deep understanding of UX systems and interaction design
• Ability to design fast, high-signal interfaces
• Comfort working closely with engineers
• Experience creating and scaling design systems
• Strong prototyping skills
• Clear communicator able to influence stakeholders
