Overview

Kitware, Inc. seeks an R&D Engineer - SVD to design and develop scalable data analysis and visualization tools for researchers and professionals across various domains.

In Short

• Design & develop scalable data analysis & visualization tools.
• Work with Visualization Toolkit (VTK) and ParaView.
• Develop end-user tools for data analysis & visualization.
• Solve problems related to distributed memory parallel algorithms.
• Maintain software on supercomputers.
• Contribute to next-gen data analysis & visualization tools.
• Support open source communities around the tools.
• Communicate with customers and mentor junior employees.
• Provide feedback on tech platforms and policies.
• Minimal travel to client locations may be involved.

Requirements

• Master’s in Computer Science or related field with emphasis on visualization and computational science.
• Required skills: Mesh generation and adaptation, C++.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Skills can be gained concurrently with education.
• Skills will be assessed through technical screening or interviews.
