Freelance Industrial Designer - Remote

Overview

We build consumer devices to interface with and command AI agents. This role is a freelance industrial designer working on the physical design of consumer hardware products, with a strong focus on manufacturable, real-world designs rather than pure concepts.

In Short

• Contribute to industrial design for consumer hardware products, primarily the smart ring
• Develop form, structure, and detailed design solutions
• Work closely with hardware engineers to balance aesthetics, structure, and manufacturability
• Support CMF (color, material, finish) exploration and decisions
• Iterate quickly based on feedback and constraints
• Deliver production-ready design outputs (CAD, renders, manufacturing guidance)
• Communicate with factories or suppliers when needed to validate designs

Requirements

• Background in industrial design or a related field
• Experience designing consumer electronics or small hardware products
• Understanding of structure, materials, and basic manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently and iterate quickly
• Comfortable working as a freelance or project-based contributor
