Tax Analyst - Remote

Overview

As a Tax Analyst at K1X, you’ll be a key member of our product team, bringing tax technical expertise to a fast-moving environment. This role involves tax research, internal support, and collaboration with product, client success, and engineering teams.

In Short

• Partner closely with product managers and engineers to support tax-related features and workflows.
• Respond to tax technical questions from internal teams and external partners.
• Research and interpret tax reporting rules for flow-thru and tax-exempt entities.
• Monitor and analyze changes in tax laws that may impact our technology.
• Assist in developing tax content and supporting documentation for the product.
• Work with state taxing authorities or external advisors to resolve compliance questions.
• Participate in client calls to support tax-related inquiries or special projects.
• Help draft internal briefs, reference materials, and training docs for non-tax stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax workflows and user experiences in our platform.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in tax compliance and/or tax technology.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong tax research skills and clear communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Familiarity with federal and state tax reporting requirements; international knowledge is a plus.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to grow with an innovative startup.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or master’s in taxation a plus.
