Director of Data - Remote

Overview

As the Director of Data at JustPlay, you will oversee the organisation’s entire data ecosystem including data strategy, architecture, governance, and analytics. You will lead a team of talented Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts on your mission of turning data into critical insights that inform strategic decisions and product enhancements. Your leadership will ensure that JustPlay’s data stack and analytics capabilities supports our growth, product development, and operational needs effectively. Day to day, you will work closely with the VP of Engineering and other team Heads, and have the growth and product leads as well as the executive team as some of your main stakeholders. You will report directly to our CPTO - Chief Product & Technology Officer.

Requirements

• 10+ years in analytics roles, with at least 4 in a leadership position.
• Solid experience in B2C apps.
• Ability to work hands-on and nurture your team.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and understanding of relevant KPIs.
• Effective project management and prioritization skills.
• Expertise in cloud computing, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with reporting tools like Looker.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with software engineering principles understanding.
• Customer-centric and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
