Senior Medical Director, Global Medical Safety (Oncology) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Medical Director serves as a senior-level Global Safety Lead and is accountable for the safety strategy and major safety deliverables for oncology pharmaceutical products.

In Short

• Lead GPSE Safety Team and Safety Management Team for oncology compounds.
• Represent the program team as a safety profile and risk mitigation expert.
• Manage cross-functional assessment of benefit-risk profiles.
• Mentor GSLs and PV Scientists on safety monitoring and risk management.
• Prepare materials for internal and external safety boards.
• Oversee risk management plans for compounds in development.
• Ensure proactive identification of safety concerns.
• Participate in continuing medical education activities.
• Assist in assessing implications of emerging regulatory intelligence.
• Manage reactive responses to emerging safety signals.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years experience in Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
• Proven ability to work in an international environment.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Board certification and licensure preferred.
