Overview

As a Game Designer at Ubi MTL, you will be the creative force behind a specific set of game systems and mechanics, providing players with tools to experience unique gameplay and make impactful decisions.

In Short

• Design features in line with design and creativity directions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate features.
• Develop prototypes in the game engine and assess their performance.
• Adapt to technical and production constraints by modifying plans as necessary.
• Participate in troubleshooting to correct faulty features.
• Create and maintain design documentation to guide collaborating teams.
• Track features post-launch to improve, add, or remove elements.

Requirements

• A college degree in game design or equivalent (undergraduate degree is a plus).
• At least 7 years of experience in game development or relevant experience.
• Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity or Unreal) and productivity software.
• Innovative, empathetic, and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness, and flexibility.
• Extensive understanding of the market and a passion for video games.
