Freelance Illustrator - Remote

Overview

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a skilled illustrator and graphic designer to join our curriculum team. In this role, you will work closely with IXL curriculum designers to create engaging images for online materials across multiple subject areas, including math, language arts, science, and social studies.

• Create visually appealing images for online materials, including accurate maps, engaging illustrations, and precise diagrams.
• Maintain visual consistency and adhere to IXL style guidelines.
• Manage multiple illustration projects under tight deadlines.
• Revise images based on feedback from curriculum designers.

Requirements

• Strong craftsmanship and illustration skills with a keen eye for design.
• Ability to create engaging, kid-friendly illustrations that align with IXL's style guidelines.
• Experience in illustration/graphic design for online content, preferably in education.
• Proficiency with Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator.
• Strong communication skills to present ideas clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organization skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple design requests efficiently.
• Experience sourcing and manipulating images from Shutterstock.
• A degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field.
