Working Student (m/f/d) in Observability / Monitoring / Grafana / Prometheus - Remote

Overview

This position is for a working student role focusing on observability and monitoring solutions in complex IT and data systems, supporting large companies in challenging projects.

In Short

• Building and maintaining Grafana dashboards for system and service metrics visualization.
• Supporting optimization of Prometheus-based monitoring.
• Revising and structuring alerts in collaboration with operations teams.
• Considering adjacent processes: monitoring as part of event, incident, and problem management.
• Analyzing monitoring landscapes and deriving improvement suggestions.
• Creating documentation, guidelines, and templates for recurring tasks.

Requirements

• Enrolled student in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field.
• Interest in monitoring, observability, cloud environments, and modern IT operational architecture.
• Analytical thinking and structured working methods.
• Very good English skills (project language); German skills are helpful but not mandatory.
• Understanding of IT service processes (e.g., event, incident, problem management) is a plus.
