Virtual Doula - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced doula who is passionate about educating and guiding our members throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey. The Doula will support two programs aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for all pregnant individuals, working collaboratively within a healthcare team.

In Short

• Provide prenatal and postpartum support and education via phone and messaging.
• Support members' chosen model of prenatal care and delivery plans.
• Guide birth planning discussions and assist in formulating advocacy questions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Adapt doula support models for a virtual-only format.
• Advocate for the Black community and solve problems for members.
• Maintain security and HIPAA regulations.
• Meet volume goals while ensuring quality care.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Build relationships with members through audio-only communication.

Requirements

• Certification as a birth doula from recognized organizations.
• 5+ years of experience as a doula.
• Familiarity with evidence-based obstetric practices.
• Comfortable with technology and medical record systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter who takes ownership of work.
• Flexibility in a rapidly-changing environment.
• Experience working remotely.
• Ability to follow HIPAA regulations.
• Good judgment in balancing priorities.
