Imagine Black, formerly known as PAALF Action Fund, is a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering the Black community in Oregon through political participation and leadership. Established in 2009, the organization envisions a world where individuals of African descent have access to the rights, resources, and recognition necessary for a thriving and connected community. With a strong commitment to Black Queer Feminist principles, Imagine Black prioritizes the voices and experiences of historically marginalized groups within the Black community, including queer, trans, and GNC individuals, as well as those who are poor, disabled, working, and undocumented. Operating as a 501(c)(4) organization alongside its sibling 501(c)(3) entity, Imagine Black Futures, the organization has a dedicated staff of nine and an operating budget of approximately $3.5 million.
