Health & Safety Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting and enhancing Istituto Marangoni’s safety culture, ensuring compliance with UK health & safety legislation, and promoting best practices across university facilities.

In Short

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, and review H&S policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
• Support in developing and delivering H&S training programs.
• Promote safety culture through awareness campaigns.
• Investigate accidents and identify corrective actions.
• Maintain records of incidents and report findings.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning.
• Serve as a point of contact for safety-related concerns.
• Support the Facilities Manager in leading the H&S Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in health & safety, preferably in higher education.
• Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in managing health and safety risks.
• Familiarity with fire safety protocols.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Flexible and proactive approach.
• Interest in education, fashion, and design.
