Head of Software Development for Web & E-Commerce Teams - Remote

Overview

You are passionate about web and e-commerce projects and have already led development teams? Then we are looking for you, from wherever you want to work within Germany.

In Short

• Lead and develop tech leads and their teams (currently about 60 employees).
• Define the technical strategy, architecture standards, and tool landscape for the company.
• Optimize and establish efficient processes in teamwork, agile methods, quality assurance, and CI/CD.
• Responsible for strategic resource planning, project allocation, and monitoring.
• Shape the entire recruiting and onboarding process to attract and retain top talent.
• Handle budget planning and reporting of relevant metrics to management.

Requirements

• Several years of relevant leadership experience in a comparable lead or head role.
• Deep understanding of modern software development, architectural principles, and agile project work.
• Success in team development and building (recruiting, employee interviews).
• Proficient in budget planning, controlling, and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to act as a liaison between management, HR, sales, and development teams.
• Strategic mindset, drive for change, and a passion for process optimization.
