Journey Guide (Educator) – Youth Program - Remote

Overview

Hero Journey Club provides community-based mental health support inside of virtual gathering spaces to address loneliness and mental health for kids, teens and adults. We host weekly group sessions inside of video games like Minecraft to meet members where they already spend time, facilitated by credentialed facilitators.

In Short

• Journey Guides lead online mental wellbeing and socioemotional learning classes.
• Groups consist of 8 to 10 participants meeting for 50 minutes weekly.
• Facilitators create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Flexible part-time schedule, primarily in the evenings.
• Experience with video conferencing tools is required.
• Must have a Master's Degree in Teaching or Education.
• Experience with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ communities is preferred.
• Current experience playing Minecraft is necessary.
• Remote work from anywhere in the US.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Teaching or Education.
• Minimum 6 months of recent teaching experience in a virtual classroom.
• Teacher license or teacher license-eligible.
• Experience teaching 5th to 12th graders.
• Experience leading groups in an educational environment.
• High-speed internet connection and a private workspace.
