Node.js Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Node.js Engineer to join our Enablement Team at Harper, a high-performance distributed application platform. This role involves driving the adoption of Harper by developing proof-of-concepts (POCs) that evolve into successful pilot projects for our customers.

• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable Node.js applications.
• Build robust and scalable POCs that showcase Harper's capabilities.
• Collaborate with sales and solutions engineering teams.
• Transition successful POCs into pilot projects.
• Lead educational sessions for customers.
• Handle support escalations with effective resolutions.
• Improve and enhance existing codebases.
• Stay up-to-date with Node.js technologies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Node.js (6+ years).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with GraphQL, MQTT, caching, and Kafka.
• Proficient in producing clear documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Experience in software development in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to work through unclear requirements.
