Handicap International e.V., also known as Humanity & Inclusion (HI), is a non-profit organization dedicated to humanitarian aid and development cooperation, operating in approximately 60 countries. The organization advocates for a solidary and inclusive world, focusing on improving the living conditions of people with disabilities and supporting those who require special protection. HI also works towards a world free of landmines and cluster munitions and aims to protect civilians in conflict zones. As a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997, Handicap International e.V. represents the German branch of HI and has been actively involved in educational initiatives since 2003, particularly in schools and adult education institutions in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
