Overview

As an Estimate Writer at Hancock Claims Consultants, you will play a crucial role in producing accurate estimates for damage assessments and carrier loss evaluations, working closely with various stakeholders in the claims process.

In Short

• Review and develop insurance estimates using field inspection documentation.
• Create accurate roof diagrams in Xactimate Sketch.
• Write supplemental estimates.
• Communicate with team members to resolve scope issues.
• Submit estimates for insurance carriers.
• Handle estimating inquiries and provide technical assistance.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Timely submission of estimates as per company requirements.
• Provide technical explanations to clients and adjusters.
• Update job status within company software.

Requirements

• Demonstrated competence in Xactimate Estimator (Level 2 preferred).
• 2+ years of field experience in roofing estimating or insurance adjusting.
• Experience with XactAnalysis required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Hold a valid/active claim adjusting license (states may vary).
• Experience in Symbility is a plus.
• Experience in commercial claims is a plus.
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professional written and oral communication skills.
• High school graduate (Some College preferred).
