Gunfire Games is seeking an experienced Combat Designer (mid or senior level) who will focus on creature designs for upcoming titles, conceptualizing and implementing compelling creature mechanics using Unreal 5.

Collaborate with design leadership to conceptualize engaging creature behaviors.
Balance and refine creature mechanics for captivating player encounters.
Work closely with animators, artists, and programmers to bring creatures to life.
Develop and implement state machines and AI logic for various creatures.
Seek feedback from leadership and peers to improve creature design.
Ensure creature mechanics adhere to technical constraints and optimize performance.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in combat design focused on creature mechanics.
Portfolio showcasing creature combat design is required.
Strong technical understanding of Unreal Engine and animation systems.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration across teams.
Requirements
Experience with scripting languages like Blueprints.
Solid knowledge of creature and combat mechanics.
Experience with 3D game engines and production pipelines.
Ability to iterate quickly without compromising quality.
Highly adaptable to project changes and demands.
Self-starter with exceptional time and task management skills.
