Overview

The Staff Accountant position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting the overall financial health and stability of the organization.

In Short

  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure prompt payment of obligations.
  • Prepare and process electronic payments and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Assist with month-end close and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide documentation for audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support the accounting team with reporting tasks and special projects.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various web-based software.
  • 2 years of professional accounting experience required.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • 4 years of professional accounting experience preferred.
  • Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus.
  • Must not be actively receiving services from Guild.
