Test Automation Engineer (Playwright) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer (Playwright) for a part-time contract engagement to enhance our automated test suite, collaborating with frontend and backend engineers to ensure robust testing strategies.

In Short

• Design, write, and maintain E2E test cases using Playwright.
• Work closely with engineers to identify key user flows.
• Improve existing test infrastructure.
• Set up test environments, including mocks/stubs.
• Troubleshoot flaky tests.
• Contribute to documentation and best practices.
• Advise developers on writing testable code.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright is a must.
• Experience integrating Playwright into CI/CD pipelines is a bonus.
• Background in frontend development (React or Vue) is a plus.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript knowledge is a must).
• Understanding of deterministic, fast, and maintainable tests.
• Ability to think strategically about test coverage.
• Independent work and proactive communication skills.
• Strong understanding of web application behavior.
• Comfortable using Git and modern development workflows.
• Bonus: Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Bonus: Frontend development experience is a plus.
