Overview

This consultancy role involves providing policy and technical support to GiveDirectly’s Refugee Livelihoods Program, focusing on cash transfer models to improve refugee self-reliance.

In Short

• Consultant will support the design and facilitation of learning workshops.
• Lead the development of policy products on refugee self-reliance.
• Engage with stakeholders to broaden funding for self-reliance models.
• Conduct research on cash assistance models and their effectiveness.
• Work closely with GiveDirectly’s Policy Director.
• Produce briefs on sustainable cash-based self-reliance.
• Build partnerships with academic and policy institutions.
• Demonstrate the scalability of GD’s self-reliance programming.
• Support strategic events to promote GD’s refugee programming.
• Deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of cash assistance models.
• Experience with refugee response programming.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience with international NGOs and government agencies.
• Regional experience in East Africa.
• Cultural sensitivity and ethical research experience.
• Ability to work independently.
