  • Drive the integration of FinOps principles into operational and engineering practices.
  • Automate operational tasks related to cost management.
  • Develop tools for tracking and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Engineering teams for cost optimization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for financial operations across the Infrastructure team.
  • Ensure financial compliance with internal and external auditors.
  • Promote cost-awareness and share best practices across engineering teams.
  • Work on GitLab’s core projects to enhance technical and financial aspects.
  • Engage with US Public Sector entities for compliance standards.
  • Contribute to automation tools and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
  • Passionate about scalable, reliable, and financially optimized systems.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale systems and their financial impacts.
  • Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
