Overview

The Advance Electric Drive and Power Electronics Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of electric drives, ensuring successful vehicle application through collaboration with various engineering teams.

In Short

  • Lead development and documentation of electric drive requirements.
  • Derive and develop component requirements using systems engineering principles.
  • Document component requirements based on technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to meet performance and cost targets.
  • Conduct component trade studies to optimize solutions.
  • Support the development of system-level DFMEA.
  • Engage in advanced technology development and testing.
  • Utilize AI tools for process improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in high-voltage laboratory settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electric drives/motors.
  • Knowledge of power electronics theory.
  • Experience in EMC design for power electronics.
  • Understanding of electrified vehicle systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools.
  • Ability to present information clearly.
  • Hands-on experience in high-voltage labs.
  • Preferred: M.S. or Ph.D. in electric drives.
