Overview

As a SQL Database Administrator with GDIT, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing database systems to support the operations of the Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) applications.

• Responsible for configuration, installation, upgrade, migration, and maintenance of SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Monitor database systems to ensure availability and performance.
• Perform backups and maintain logs.

• Support database applications design and development activities.
• Work with management to develop database strategies based on customer requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend database management system products.
• Support other CNIC applications as needed.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance required.
• 6 years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience managing databases in a datacenter.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification preferred.
• BS Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or IT related field.
• Familiarity with G2 databases is a plus.
• Knowledge of database performance analysis and tuning.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• US Citizenship required.
