Finance Specialist - Remote

Overview

FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish kids’ health, education, and sense of community. Our AmeriCorps members partner with educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and family-driven experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on our service program, FoodCorps develops leaders, grows networks, and advocates for policy change in service of every kid’s health and well-being. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and nourishing food in school.

In Short

• FoodCorps seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Finance Specialist.
• Responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial records.
• Support month-end close processes and ensure accurate financial data processing.
• Experience with Concur, Intacct, and BILL.com is preferred.
• This is a full-time remote role with occasional in-person responsibilities.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting is necessary.
• Focus on optimizing financial workflows and supporting audits.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of accounts payable and general accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and AP processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Intacct and BILL.com is a plus.
• High level of discretion with confidential information.
• Previous nonprofit experience preferred.
• Understanding of AmeriCorps regulations encouraged.
• Knowledge of childhood nutrition issues welcomed.
