Overview

Flexport is seeking a seasoned Director of Public Relations & Communications to lead our strategic communications and media relations efforts. This senior-level role requires an individual with 10-12 years of comprehensive experience in public relations, communications, and marketing, ideally within the logistics or technology sectors.

In Short

• Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy that aligns with Flexport’s strategic objectives.
• Manage relationships with our PR and Communications agency to ensure high-quality, impactful media coverage.
• Forge and maintain strong relationships with key press contacts and media outlets.
• Draft, edit, and oversee the distribution of press releases, articles, and other communications materials across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate closely with the marketing team to integrate PR campaigns with broader marketing initiatives.
• Analyze and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and media coverage.
• Serve as a company spokesperson and lead point of contact for media inquiries.
• Provide strategic communications support to the executive team and other key stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative environment within a multi-matrixed organization.

Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in public relations, communications, and/or marketing.
• Prior experience in the logistics or tech industries is highly desirable.
• Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
• Deep understanding of media relations and digital media strategies.
• Strong analytical skills to measure and enhance the impact of communications efforts.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
• Demonstrated high judgment and critical decision-making abilities.
• Proven experience in managing and navigating through critical situations.
