Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Data Engineer will be part of an international team working for a banking client, responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines and ensuring data quality and performance.

• Design and implement data pipelines in collaboration with data users and the Engineering team.
• Ensure reliability, data quality, and optimal performance of data assets.
• Translate complex business and analytical requirements into high-quality data assets.
• Provide high-quality code focusing on simplicity and performance.
• Redesign and implement existing data pipelines as necessary.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, Solution Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Owners.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in the role.
• Fluent in English (B2).
• Knowledge and experience with Python.
• Good knowledge of distributed computing frameworks like Pyspark.
• Experience in system design, data structures, algorithms, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD processes, data testing, and monitoring.
• Experience with Databricks and Azure data services like Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Fabric.
