Grant Manager (Volunteer) - Remote

Overview

EUSMS is seeking a proactive and organized Grant Manager (Volunteer) to lead our global grant efforts—from sourcing and applying for funding opportunities to monitoring results and co-collaborating on M&E and compliance topics. This is a strategic volunteer role at the heart of our financial resource mobilization efforts, helping fund EUSMS five main operational programs, for East Africa.

In Short

• Approx. 10 hours/week commitment with flexible scheduling
• Lead global grant efforts from sourcing to monitoring
• Collaborate with CFO and a small team of volunteers
• Use Odoo CRM and Microsoft 365 suite for coordination
• Identify and prioritize funding opportunities
• Coordinate data collection for proposals
• Collaborate on monitoring and reporting obligations
• Fluency in English required; German or Swahili preferred
• Experience with CRM systems and project management skills needed
• Gain strategic leadership experience in grant management

Requirements

• Fluency in English (required); German or Swahili strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CRM systems (especially Odoo) and Microsoft 365 tools
• Organizational and project management skills
• Bonus: Previous experience with international development or nonprofit grants
• Bonus: Ability to do deep web research to find grant portals
