Merchandise Planning Manager - Remote

Overview

We're looking for a data-driven Merchandise Planning Manager to own forecasting and inventory strategy for INTO THE AM. You'll turn trends into actionable plans, align sales goals with smart inventory moves, and help drive growth through strategic planning and sharp analysis.

In Short

• Own and manage the INTO THE AM forecast using predictive models based on historical data, seasonal trends, and business initiatives
• Set and track Product Revenue, Gross Margin, and Contribution Margin targets
• Maintain and refine weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts for e-commerce KPIs including sales, traffic, conversion, and revenue
• Develop pre-season financial plans and sales forecasts by category, department, or product line
• Monitor in-season performance and recommend strategic actions such as markdowns, reorders, or promotions to drive profitability
• Manage the campaign and promotional calendar ensuring alignment across marketing, inventory, and sales
• Create and manage open-to-buy (OTB) plans to ensure optimal inventory levels
• Prepare and present regular reporting (weekly, monthly, seasonal) to key stakeholders
• Lead and mentor 1 direct report

Requirements

• Deep analytical ability with a strong understanding of forecasting and inventory planning
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership teams
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
• 5+ years of experience as a merchandise planner or demand forecaster
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or planning tools such as Toolio
• Expertise in statistical forecasting, trend analysis, and predictive modeling
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience managing and mentoring team members
