Junior Solar Project Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a curious and detail-oriented Junior Solar Project Design Engineer to support our solar project design team. If you’re excited about clean energy, have basic to advanced CAD and solar modeling experience, and want to grow your technical chops alongside experienced engineers.

In Short

• Support senior engineers in creating solar layouts using Helioscope and AutoCAD.
• Assist in reviewing site plans, structural drawings, and utility data for project feasibility.
• Help draft electrical one-line diagrams and construction plan sets.
• Organize and update project drawings, as-builts, and documentation.
• Perform basic system production simulations (PVSyst or similar) with guidance.
• Support interconnection and permitting tasks as needed.
• Contribute to estimating energy generation and conducting preliminary design reviews.

Requirements

• Basic to advanced CAD experience.
• Knowledge of solar modeling.
• Ability to interpret site plans and structural drawings.
• Familiarity with Helioscope and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to learn and grow in engineering roles.
