Finance Manager - Remote

Overview

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing accounting processes and ensuring financial compliance for a small consulting firm serving mid-sized to large corporations.

In Short

• Manage preparatory accounting and review incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Plan and coordinate payments considering payment terms, liquidity, and cash flow.
• Prepare data for the tax advisor from systems like AccountOne, Shopify, and Amazon.
• Prepare VAT and OSS reports for various countries and ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate with the tax advisor and stay updated on tax changes.
• Ensure completeness and plausibility of data for accurate reporting.
• Monitor payment flows from Shopify, Amazon, and payment service providers.
• Ensure smooth operation of interfaces and data imports.
• Work closely with Operations, IT, and the tax advisor to optimize and automate processes.

Requirements

• Fluent in English (B2) and German (C2).
• 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or tax in the E-commerce/D2C sector.
• Proficient with accounting and finance tools (e.g., Lexoffice, DATEV, AccountOne).
• Good knowledge of tax issues like VAT and OSS reporting.
• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented work style with attention to detail.
• Fluent in both German and English.
