Software Engineer — Rust Infrastructure & Systems Engineering - Remote

Overview

Edera is seeking a systems-minded Rust Infrastructure & Systems Software Engineering to help build the secure-by-default foundations of container infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and supply chain integrity. This role is ideal for someone who lives at the intersection of secure systems, developer workflows, and low-level runtime internals, and who thrives in environments where correctness, composability, and automation are non-negotiable.

In Short

• Build and maintain Rust based infrastructure components.
• Design and implement secure build pipelines.
• Champion test automation across layers.
• Contribute to container runtime and image builder tooling.
• Develop reusable and declarative test frameworks.

• Collaborate with Kubernetes, Rust, and Linux subsystems.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
• Fluency in Rust with a focus on correctness and reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Understanding of containers, Linux namespaces, and image formats.
• Familiarity with secure update and supply chain tooling.
• Experience designing testable infrastructure and automating environments.
• Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes internals and build reproducibility.
