Overview

The Area Sales Manager will represent Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions, focusing on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in rugged computing, networking, and recording products within the Defense & Aerospace sectors.

In Short

  • Manage sales efforts for rugged computing and networking products.
  • Develop relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate resources to close business in assigned territories.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and handle both short and long sales cycles.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed.
  • Meet or exceed business targets for the geographic area.
  • Utilize CRM tools for opportunity tracking and forecasting.
  • Present technology solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate business developments to executive teams.
  • Grow sales through personal contributions and account management.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree preferred (BS EE or Computer Science).
  • 5 years of experience in sales within the military, aerospace, or avionics markets.
  • Strong technical knowledge of defense/aerospace products.
  • Proven track record in program selling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Experience with COTS market and knowledge of systems solutions.
