Overview

The Clinical Pharmacy Management team is expanding and is looking for an Authorization Coordinator I who will work remotely, primarily reviewing and processing formulary exception requests based on clinical criteria and guidelines.

In Short

  • Remote position with a preference for candidates in the PST or MST timezone.
  • Review and process formulary exception requests.
  • Maintain communication with facility teammates to resolve technical issues.
  • Utilize approval and denial language based on clinical guidelines.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Requires a High School Diploma; Associates preferred.
  • Current Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
  • 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting required.
  • Excellent MS Office skills are necessary.
  • Ability to travel 10% as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required - Associates Preferred.
  • Current Registered Pharmacy Technician Required.
  • 2 years of experience working in a pharmacy or other healthcare setting Required.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Required.
  • Previous experience working in prior authorization - Preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10% as needed.
